Overview

The Clipper Project was designed to evaluate costs and benefits associated with offering introductory college courses via the Web to high school seniors. As part of evaluation activities, data is being collected at the student, faculty, and institutional level. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches are being used to analyze data and provide an understanding of the process that contributed to observed outcomes.

To achieve project objectives, three courses (Chemistry I, Engineering I, and English I) are being offered as part of the project. Each course includes two sections reflecting different instructional conditions (on-campus face-to-face instruction, high school web). Both sections of each course will be offered once a year during consecutive academic years.
