Dr. Johnson
is Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Department
of Mathematics. Faculty at Lehigh since 1984, Dr. Johnson
serves as faculty content expert for mathematics. Professor
Johnson has taught courses ranging from basic algebra and
pre-calculus, through calculus of various types, up through
graduate courses in differential geometry and analysis.
His research specialties are in differential geometry, analytic
geometry, and geometric measure theory, and he has published
approximately 20 papers on these subjects. Professor Johnson
has led the efforts of the Lehigh Mathematics Department
in various innovations in calculus instruction, including
introduction of computer-algebra systems to the curriculum
and various experiments in alternate modes of instruction.
